Early Westfalia Rack Early Westfalia Roof Rack

Early westfalia roof rack - note the square tubing for the 3 cross bows and the square mounting point where it sits in and over the rain gutters. This is the rack for 57-59 westfalias.

Safari Window Wiper Disconnects

Pre-65 safari window wiper disconnects, which replace the original wiper pivots. There is another, style, used on the later buses, which mounts on the outside of the bus and the wiper sits "on" it.

This pic comes from VW service bulletin Z4 "Instructions for Tropical Climate Operation". The canopy is for keeping the sun off the roof in hot climates to keep the interior cooler. Note the drawn-in nipple indicators to update the barndoor bus for the bulletin, which is dated 1962.

here is a large accessory, a '67 Combi-Camp tent trailer made in Denmark. It pulls perfectly behind my '67 Deluxe with a stock 1500 and governer! I only had to perform a cosmetic resto on it-lucky me, i heard that other Combi-Camps exist, but are far from complete. Check out photos of it opened up, as well as other type-2 junk on my link.
