These were original equipment on ambulances and fire trucks. There was a complementary front tow hook, which I have yet to find.

Here is a shot of my '66 Deluxe with a 5 foot stuffed giraffe poking his head through the sunroof. When I saw the giraffe at a flea market I couldn't resist. Now my bus is called the "Giraffe Transporter."

11/08/02 Tom Mink It's definitely the correct era. However, those are 56-66 Ghia knobs.
