i love old VW kombis, i owned two of them, an ex-Rhodesian Convent bus , a beautiful 1969 off-white bay-window bus, she and i had a few adventures til her clutch broke, and i had to SELL her to pay for the repairs! Man, that was tragic... I then bought a '67 Lime green Split - window. She was my favourite, but she needed a bit of work and i wanted to travel so we compromised and i let her go to a good home, while i left the country. This drawing here was for a book, but they did not really like it too much.
