| 12/26/05 | DON 'The Emissary' SERIBUTRA | This bus should be arted again in the art car community; regarding the Polly Esther's logo, some nightclubs in Downtown Houston have participated in the 2005 Houston Art Car Parade. Sadly, there was once a Polly Esther's franchise in H-town until 2003. |
| 12/29/02 | Fox | Do murals,,on most anything that will stand still,,strip this no where pain barf off,,its sad to see such a job still around,, |
| 09/11/02 | Paul Leske | Well you hippy lovers can quit yer bitchin' because it has been stripped long ago and I am having it painted in the original colors. It was only a billboard for a nightclub anyhow and I couldn't drive it like that without looking like a looser burnout. |
| 07/16/02 | Ben Pon | Most of you people don't realize that this IS OG paint..We rolled it off the assembly line just as it looks today..!It's a one of a kind..The reason being we fired the dumb ass in the factory who painted it.. |
| 07/13/02 | spengdog | Strip it and be done with it. Give the bus it's dignity back! |
| 07/12/02 | Tom Mink | What I think you people don't get is that Polly Esther's is a "retro" nightclub that probably painted the bus with that scheme in the last 3 or 4 years as an advertising gimmick. There's NOTHING vintage or classic about it. Strip it! |
| 07/12/02 | Jason | I think you guys got it all wrong. Who ever applied that stupid paint job is the one who ruined a nice bus. That crap sucked in the 60's and it sucks today. I say strip it and repaint it an original color. |
| 07/12/02 | EyezOfTheWorld | That's a masterpiece of a paintjob and you're going to strip it? Shame on you! If you haven't already started destroying that bus, please, please, please, I will buy it, cash right now, please let me know! |
| 06/18/02 | Daniel Vammen | I'm not normally a fan of those types of paint jobs; they tend to turn up on vans that people stop keeping up. But, that one does look exceptional. I would keep it. |
| 06/16/02 | chuck | I hear drums and smell dope. Are you a hippie? |
| 06/16/02 | sarah | i think that the paint on that bus is so great and i cant belive you are going to change it |

| 09/28/02 | An even bigger sin is the use of the words "hippie" and "work" in the same sentence! | |
| 09/28/02 | Sid Vicious | Thats a good'n, hippies lecturing others about sinning! |
| 09/28/02 | marissa | do not take the paint off of that, its the most amazing van i have ever seen, i love it and it should be some kind fo sin for you to do that to such an awesome work of art |

| 07/15/02 | Chris | It obviously isn't a piece of history. It is a merketing ploy a corporate advertisement on a wheels. That completely goes against Hipster History. |
| 07/12/02 | Jerry Garcia | amen, amen! |
| 07/08/02 | shannon | please, please dont paint it, it looks so cool, it a piece of history |

| 07/13/02 | Spengdog | That's different, the car has a provenance, has a place in motoring history. This paint is just an advertising tool. Anyway, Paul, you shelled out your hard-earned, you do what you want with it! |
| 07/12/02 | I have heard that Porsche AG has attempted to buy Joplins 356 and they want to repaint it because it is an embarrassment to the company. | |
| 07/12/02 | Jerry Garcia | Hey, would you repaint Janis Joplin's classic Porsche, also? For shame! |
