Buses make the ultimate dive vehicles! Here are a group of divers suiting up for a morning dive at Russian Gulch near Mendocino, CA. That's me standing at the sliding door of the bus on the right (back to camera). The picture was taken about 1979. The buses are probably '73 - '74 models.

It's my first bus and I think I got lucky the first time. Needs some interior TLC, but it drives great, looks great and smells like the VWs I used to ride in as a kid. Cool stuff!

Here is my new baby, just brought her home about a week ago. It's a 77 -- not too new to be cool, I assure you. Can't wait until I get that HUGE sun roof overhauled and opened! It'll be time for some Bob Marley, a big fattie and a trip down the Pacific Coast Highway!

fine one, hm? I think, it wouldnt be easy, to find some like that in the usa. I took that picture while cruising around ... bringing home some stuff for my friend joseph schuetzenhoefer, who is an excellent painter and absolutely addicted to vw micro-bus, driving a full equipped emergency-bus.
