07/25/02 Daniel Sadly not a Barndoor, but awesome looking van anyway. And it's a RHD, you'd fit in well down here in New Zealand.
07/25/02 Bulliboy But its sure a very nice bus :)
07/25/02 Tom Mink Secondly, a walkthrough panel Bus is most decidedly NOT a one-year-only thing.
07/25/02 drew first of all... 1966 = not a barndoor. sorry.

Probably only one of two rhd, double loading door, barn door panel van's in the world! At the moment it's in Kent in the UK, but I am negotiating a deal for a friend to buy it and restore it, also in the UK. Most of the parts need come with it! Very nice!!! Chassis number to follow.

07/28/02 Andy Nope, I doubt it was hippies. It may've been an airforce bus. I've got a pic of an early bay with a huge perspex dome & air-con unit that was used as a mobile air traffic controller here in Australia.
07/25/02   Or maybe some hippies hacked it up...
07/25/02 Rikki James You can't really see it from this pic, but this panel has a clear Perspex observation
dome on the roof, apparently it was used by the police for riot/crowed control, mad!

C ya........Rikki.

Here she is being backed off the tilt tray - not the "Aussie" cooling vents high up on the rear panel. The gate posts were VERY narrow but she didn't come unstuck & I was able to breath a sigh of relief when she was out of the weather again. Thankfully out here in Orange cars rust much less than in Sydney.

I live in Australia & we recently moved 3 hours west from Sydney to a town called Orange & so Kitty, our '67 panel which we've had for about a year now, waiting for her transformation, had to be tilt-trayed the 300kms. Fortunately it didn't rain.
