Heres the 58 Double Door Walkthrough, with the Deluxe roof clip and barndoor front clip. Air bag suspension, 2110cc engine, carbon fiber porsche fan shroud, runs super strong. Never less than 50mph through the Rockies on my drive to the Denver shows, 6+ hour drive each way, and not even a hichup. Also 20MPG!! Full tweed inside, EVERYWHERE!! Street rod style. Allen head stainless hardware, you name, it's got it. Now it's ready for a new home, so that I can keep building more.. any buyers? email me.. It's gotta be ATLEAST ONE OF the coolest out right now..

Here a picture of my panel van after we designed a logo of my employers bodyrepairshop, the logo is not yet on the bus,maybe within a few weeks,the picture is a computer simulation.

This 1965 panel van is a right hand sliding door model.. a special order for a groccer in Frieburg Germany. Currently in my garage in Cornwall for loads of welding and repairs may get on the road this year for the UKs big meet at Brighton.

pictures of my '64 panel.(again very BIG ones) There are already 2 pictures on this site,one shows the bus when I just bought it,and the second was taken during the 'resoration'. First it was the idea to paint the bus complety grey (L345).When that was done,I decided to paint the top white. I didn't buy 5-spoke empi's,but I bought 16" Porsche 964 wheels with 195-45-16 and spacers. Chris van der Hout

WoW! Thank you many times over for establishing and maintaining an excellent site! I enjoy reading about how people have painstakingly nurture their vint buses along. I currently drive a '65 Split-Window which I have been driving only 15 years, and it has proved to be a great vehicle! Like you, I got it for a song, though here there is no one I could turn to for body work help, and I can't see spending tons of money to let someone else patch up 'ol Purp. I appreciate the care and attention to detail in your own restorative work, and your dedication towards educating the world as to what's what. I realize than my veedub began as a Deluxe bus before my modification to what seems to be a unique Kombi look. I'll include a pic from 5 years ago, but I will work on getting together a little portfolio if you like of all the color changes over the span of time since I've been driving this vehicle...oops! This pic includes a bit of Photoshop, where I removed the front two passenger windows, where as the back two were physically removed, and then the holes covered over. I have several techie questions I'd like to ask if I may. Thanks, again, and keep up the great work!
