I am looking for more information on these old european caravaner style two wheel trailers.The trailer is in original condition withsome rust around wheel wells.I have the origional owners manual and the trailer also has the origional red and white attachable tent w/seperate change room.The one piece sink/stove top is stainless and has louvers that match the outside vents on the trailer.The door mounted gas furnace is mint condition.Only problems origional wiring is bad and old flex hose for propane needs replacing as well as regulator attachment.Any one interested may be for sale due to work injury stopping restoration project.rarer than hens'teeth |
| 01/04/03 | lind | I always get a kick out of the difference between asking price and selling price. I always see some item at swap meets that is overpriced and then hear someone else spewing on about how that it what the item is worth because they saw someone asking that price at a swap meet. an item is worth exactly what someone will pay for it.
this seat is a kombi seat. it is rarer than a microbus seat, but worth less and less saleable because the people that are putting big bucks into buses are most often putting that money into deluxes. most of the potential people who would possibly pay top top dollar for an original seat for an original bus couldn't use this seat because it doesn't match their bus. even if it was in my price range, I wouldn't buy it because I would have to recover it to match my bus. |

| 01/03/03 | It's worth what someone will pay for it. If it's still festering for sale @ $1000, then it's obviously not worth $1000 to anyone who knows it's for sale. I see overpriced stuff at shows all the time, that people drag from show to show to show, ever hopefull that some desperate/clueless person will cough up the cash.
Oh, and the 'baby on the way' card is *so* played out... |

| 01/03/03 | incynr8 | If you add up taking a free frame, blasting it, painting or coating it, wax spraying it, buying all pads, buying correct covering, installing it, buying perfect bars, and adding all the time together, you just bought this seat, and maybe more if you can't achieve all the processes without farming some work out. Wishing someones higher dollar bus to burn for the abily to afford this is just reprehensible.
I just hope it goes to someone with the exact year and interior to complete a restoration at ANY stage. |
