Here is the fuel tap restored and ready to go back onto the gas tank of the 59 DC. I was able to use the original cork gasket inside but had to find a new wire screen. The cotter key is also og. Some people think it might be "over restored", hehehe... it hasn't been restored, it's been polished and chromed beyond reason :-) For reference, the fuel tap on the left is from a 58, and the one on the right is a tap for a bug but sold as one for a bus... it won't work... Let the buyer beware!!!

Now in switzerland, this pannel is gonna be "restored" as an older model, with deck&taillights from a 56, semaphores, lowered, and painted with original cool color reference by vw in the 50's. wait & see...
