I need a rebuilt steering Box for a 1965 bus. Anybody out there have any recommendations? What I have found so far are rebuilds form "the bus boys", "BFY Obsolete Parts", and "WOLFGANG INTERNATIONAL" Has any ones used these? any bad or good comments? Please let me know. I have a few thousand miles to drive this summer and smoother steering would be nice.

The floor felt a bit spongy but once it was removed it was plain to see the inner and outer sills had gone completely, along with all the outriggers, floor struts and side struts.

This was the bus when I first bought it. It looks a lot better here than it was. Both sides and front wheel arches had been over-plated, hiding extensive rust beneath and the floor was completely gone! It's coming on now, with extensive welding work already undertaken.

some exciting rust repair work with a sandblaster and por 15 on my 62' 15 window... i did all the windows, decklid, and nose while I was at it. Here in Hawaii rust spreads like wildfire.

My 58 23 Window. Mostly original paint and 95% complete. Previous owner attempted to learn body work on this bus and screwed up the rockers. He also lowered it. Future plans call for a factory stock restoration....

Here are some of the pics of the Telefunken Bus restoration. Hammil did the metal work and the Bus is shown in his driveway when we picked it up. Also shown is me doing interior prep on my back and Tim Leventry painting the logo on the side after the beast came back from the paint shop. Last pic shows it sitting in the VOA museum. Have fun.

07/03/04 Trevor P Bus is now sitting at VW of Canada headquarters in Ajax Ont. Canada, along with the 52 conv. bug in the background. Both drop dead restos!
