More crap from where the rear-end was sectioned on. The top portion is the new piece; the origin is underneath. They overlap by about 1 1/2"

More crap from where the rear-end was sectioned on. This weld is sorta almost complete, but crappy. They also didn't run the taillight wires thru the frame and up the channel like they're supposed to go, but instead brought them over the shelf and across the edge of the battery tray.

Before the transmission goes in, I have to clean this up. This is the area above the transmission; the groove visible in the pic is the channel for the forward engine seal. The rear end of this truck was sectioned in at some time in it's past; some of the welding left much to be desired.

This is probably the worst transmission I've ever seen. On one side, 2 of the 3 studs that hold the backing plate to the reduction box had been stripped and helicoiled. It probably leaked like a sieve! I fixed it by welding in new studs, which necessitated a lot of filling on the back side so it wouldn't leak.
