What to doo-doo? What to doo-doo?
Chuck Wagen
I was looking for some input on my output. I went to the junkyard today, not your local pick n pull but a real out in the woods car scat-tered everywhere type deal. I needed some type 2 parts, and I just ate like 3 bean burritos, and a gooey enchirito before hand. And you know what happened when I finally dragged my tool box all the way out there. I usually come pretty well prepared but never had I ever thought of bringing wipe into the field. I didnt know what to do so I dropped a growler right on the hood of a rabbit truck thinking that no one would ever run into it there. But that wasnt the problem, I had to come up with some wipe and the only thing I could do was cut my underwear off with my Rambo knife all commando style. Next time I won't eat before I go, or I will add some Charmin to the tool kit. So if you recognize this bus in your local yard, watch where you step.

Burned '66 13-window Burned '66 13-window

One year and two days ago(6-28) my '66 13-window went up in flames. The brass fitting into the carb was loose and came out on the way home from getting dinner for everybody. Check and replace your gas lines regularly and check that brass fitting! This bus has since then been sold and partially restored.

12/07/07 Sharon Lyon This could almost be our 71 VW camper, which my husband stripped out the screw to the oil pan, trying to change the oil. From then on it leaked oil and probably got ruined. I can't remember what happened to it.
06/24/03 kevin hinds I was almost home and the gas pedal went to the floor when I pushed down on it with no drag and stayed their when I had lift my foot up. (melted return spring) I started smelling smoke then I could see it coming out of the heater ducts. I look in my side mirror and somke was billowing out of the air scoops.
I was so lucky, I was on a hill and my house was at the end of it. I was able to roll down the hill to my house and and put a garden hose to it. I had to replace everything not made of metal. It was a bitter sweat thing. For the next 2 or more years (no kidding) I found my self looking in my side mirror for smoke coming out of air scoop. The fire was started by the brass fuel line neck falling off the carb. A year or so later I found the brass fuel line neck on the fuel pump was loose and saved my self lots of gref, big time. Odd's are I would not be so lucky next time. SO IT PAYS OFF! KEEP AN EYE ON IT!

06/28/02 Real Chuck I at least would have wrote something funny, take some time and you may be funny someday, other than your appearance, and your love for young boys.
06/27/02 Chuck Ohhhhhhhh I must have it. It makes me feel warm all over. I'm touching myself with one hand and typing with the other. If only I had an 11 year old boy with me right now.

I found this bus in a back yard while crusing in my 74 bay (oh no!)The cool thing is that it was a church's bus in Miss. If you look close you can see it writing on the side. I want it, I think the guy would sell it. T I might just get it. I want a split. (keeping my bay, because I like both, splitties are cooler though.)

This is one of my friend's bus, it's very rusty but resorable. Even though my bus is a bay I want a splittie. Yes, it is possible to like both. Splitties have more personality, though.

08/15/02 david benardo I've seen a perfect 1956 for 28K and a 1965 for 13K; the 65 looked pretty good but had rust and the windows leaked and the engine looked pretty worn. Try a Karmann Ghia for around $2000 you can have just about as much fun, and no one will steel it.
08/14/02 jen just a ? if anyone knows, is $14900 a good price for a running one of these looks to be in good condition
