| 06/10/02 | 23window | being somewhat of a Vintage Airstream buff, I would say what you are looking at is a cross between and '50's Airstream Bambi or Caravelle and a split bus. Early Bambi's were 15-16 ft. and Caravlles 17'. |

TO:Author of caption to photo "may she rust in piece" FROM:R.M. RE: Photo and caption I recently found this photo and caption on the vintagebus.com site. The Panel is an early 1955 that I have owned for a number of years. If you had looked closely you would have noticed that all of the exterior rusted areas have been cleaned and painted to preserve the vehicle for future restoration. My elderly Mother-in law (who you described so unkindly) has graciously allowed me to store the bus on her property (away from the salt air of the coast where I live) for the last six years. The bus has a "good home" and is in no danger of encountering a sawzall or torch. It is not for sale. |
