My lug bolts loosened up and backed off after a drive on the highway. I was going about 20MPH when the wheel came off! No one was hurt except my bus. Now I have to fix and repaint the wheel arch.

1953 23 window deluxe with the cal-look treatment; lowered, tinted skylight windows, stinger, empis, and the requisite magazine stickers. The 80's were so cruel to VW's; buses even more so. This bus has since been recovered and properly restored, although it's still lowered.
