The green 65 deluxe was at the Blaupunkt booth at the 2003 Consumer Electronics show in Vegas last week. It was built & lives in PA. The Silver bay was at another booth.

04/01/03 David Hey Sean, I am amazed at the work you have displayed on this site and am really hoping that you read this comment. I'm thinking about doing some fiberglass work and as I'm only 17, I don't have much experience with the material. Can you give me some pointers on how to learn how to use it as well as you do? Hope to see a response from you soon, David

03/27/03 Dianne this is great! I love it.
02/21/03 josh i was wondering.. is that painted on your ceiling, or your floor? cause it looks real weird with the door there...
01/11/03 John Flowers John,

You should market that as a kit.
You'd probably sell a lot of them.
01/10/03 mike you should paint that on the outside of your garage door

The SC is 1st cab off the rank- I've an 11 window '67 bus & a '67 part camper (very late-gen factory 12 volt) waiting. After 27 years in business I've got out & am working only 3 days a week so I've got plenty of time! The rotisserie was copied from the "solo hobbit" reference at www.dropgates.com under resto tips "rotisserie". I didn't use his camper jacks- they were very expensive in Australia- to lift it up. Instead I used a 1500mm length of 24mm threaded rod at each end. I welded a nut to suit the thread to a piece of angle which was then welded to the lifting piece. The bottom of the rod pushes down into a bucket made of 30mm ID pipe filled with grease & washers. The top has a welded nut which turns & lifts each end about 3-4inches at a time before I have to swap ends. Mounts to the front beam & at the rear to the rear apron mounts with cross bracing to the rear bumper mount. It can go 360 degrees but I choose to do only about 270 & lock one of the beams on the ground for stability. I've included photos of the rest of my fleet-enjoy!

I bought this at a antique mall for $5. It says it's a 55, also has a id number of SS 7707. The plate number is WOB-VW55. The paint is a metal flake.

05/06/03 Leah Wegener My son was given the same car recently, only in light blue. Do you know if it is "valuable" or should I just let him play with it? (He's 4...)
Thanks, Leah

02/13/03 Erik Bottom pic, top right. Is that blue panel a barndoor? I can't quite tell, It would be ashame if it was.
02/07/03 Tim I Have photos of this same graveyard. It's a shame
I stared at this from the top of my car for over an hour. We can Prevent This. RESTORE \X/ = :)
12/08/02   In Utah, do they call it polybusamy?
12/08/02 Mike Looks like someone liked converting buses into trucks. No wonder they ended up in a junkyard.

The pride of San Diego County. The "Roadster" took first place in the Barndoor Convertible Class and Josh's "El Ghiablo" took first in the "Bus with a Heavy Ghia Influence" Class. Enjoy your trophies gentlemen and tell those tourists to stop snapping photos!
