| 10/27/09 | Josh Tyler | Adam Hughes stole a vw bus from me and I caught red handed him with it but now he refuses to give it back because the title is not in my name. What should I do? |
| 04/30/05 | todd | Nobody in 18 years of owning that 23 in the pic has ever doudted its logo authenticity .As for me ,it has never even crossed my mind weather my bus Ray (for Rays Repair) is truely who he says he is he just is "Ray". |
| 06/15/03 | Jules | MAYBE???? Ray had a BIG family?? Carry the washers & mowers round midweek. Then put the seats back for some family fun at the weekend??
Builder i know puts the interior back in his wedge for summer climbing trips over 2 Europe. Rest of the year it a workhorse |
| 06/14/03 | ronnie | There are lots of early logoed passenger buses up this way. I'm just a few minutes down the road from sweet home and from a guy who worked at one of the local dealerships in the late 50's told me it could be tough to get your choice of a new vw around here. The lot where my 57 deluxe was sold new was so small that they refused to take trades, and many cars where sold before they even arrived. The old building is still there and I really can't imagine it being used to sell cars out of. Could be these people where taking what they could get. For what it's worth the people who used to own my 57 deluxe also had a 58 deluxe that was a logo bus for their laundry. |
| 06/06/03 | Tony | Adam, a dance school would probably not go out and buy a panel bus correct? So you proved Mike's point. I don't think he is dis-crediting you or your bus, just making an observation. What do you care if the owner of your bus bought it used then had it logo'd? It is still logo'd. |
| 06/04/03 | adam | mike, there were plenty of deluxes and "MICROBUSES" logo'ed,in fact my favorite logo'd bus i know of is a 54 deluxe, that has logo from a dance school,it was from here in oregon |
| 06/06/03 | adam | i bet mikey here is jealous, and he likes to ad his 2cents wherever he can, what does mike own? |
| 06/04/03 | Mike | I bet most of the time, like with Lufthansa, they were for carrying people. |
| 06/03/03 | Jason | I have a pretty good vintage VW literature collection and I have all kinds of period pictures of deluxe micro buses logoed out for businesses. Panels and Kombis weren't always the the model of choice for business owners. I have some neat photos of logoed deluxes used by Bosch, Lufthansa etc. |
| 06/02/03 | Mike | I am not saying that they are not authentic, but I find it curious that a business person would walk onto a lot looking for a work vehicle and then end up taking home a sunroof deluxe, maybe there was a good salesman working that day.I',m sure that signwriters changed there style from 1958 to 1960, right. Like I said, I don't doubt the logos are authentic. I did do my homework on the basic models of buses I do know that YOUR bus is not a kombi. |
| 06/02/03 | Susan | I saw both these buses recently at the Norhtwest Bug Run in Woodburn, Oregon. They were parked next to VW Al and his 71 Westy and tent. I thought they were very kewl! |
| 06/02/03 | adam | the 55(mine is a micro)and was purchased by whites electronics new,if you do some homework you'll find that whites has been in business since 1950,and they stopped full scale production of geiger counters around 54,further proving its not a used vehichle,my buddys 58 might be but i kind of doubt it the logo is so 50s,im currently trying to further document these 2 more thoroughly, shouldnt be a huge hassle, the town of sweethome is very small, the town didnt start"booming" until 1940s |
| 06/01/03 | Mike | That Kombi of yours looks more like a Microbus. Its funny that both of the passenger buses have logos like they were commercial buses. I wonder if the business owner(s) bought them used instead of new. If I was a business owner I would probably buy the more economical Kombi than a luxurious passenger based bus, especially if I was doing repairs to home appliances and delivering geiger counters. |

| 05/09/03 | Brendan | Yeah, I can just imagine that happening... All he has to do is decrapitate the whole Bus and then glue on a new roof. And for the cargo doors, I bet he can just duct tape the hinges down on the beltline where they belong. I bet he and a buddy can have it done in a couple hours, good as new, right? |
| 05/09/03 | Dan H | The bus is a 62 from Sweden. I have the chassis number somewhere. It is also for sale. The owner says he will graft the top of a panel van on if he doesn't sell it this year. That's why I took the photo - to help him sell it and to stop him hacking it. |
| 05/07/03 | Mike | Oh, don't forget Rex's "real" 58. Bahahahaha!!!! |
| 05/07/03 | Brendan | Hmmm, flat wheel wells and outward vents, it must be a European '62 or early '63, one of the earliest Highroofs still alive??? |

| 01/31/04 | Paul Sims | I Drive a Honda. |
| 07/22/03 | Jayson Ackerson | That is amazing. i am from north dakota and we got all these little hondas that think that they are as low as you can go. this would shut them up. i am 17 and i got a 1970 bug that i am customizing its got a 4 inch drop all around using adjustable spring plates and adjustable front beam. with i would have used drop sdindles casue this thing rides like a tank. was thinking about doing a body drop on it but i am not that skilled yet. if someone could give me some info on it that would be awesome. but that is the coolest bus i have ever seen in my life |
| 07/01/03 | Paul Sims | This guy have a web site or any way of contacting him? |
| 03/13/03 | mr.samba 15 | I've seen patricks work to , it is impressive, I hear he's coming out with a wildslammed 21 panel soon can't wait untill he unrolls that one maybe the classic ? |
| 03/11/03 | 2low4u | This bus was built by the talented Patrick from Tricks Kustoms. It has a full bodydrop and was finished in a matter of days. Talk about metalworking skills...this is it. Never accomplished before. Tubbed, bagged, and bodydropped. 7" lift range; highway reliable. Props to Patrick for another fine creation. Oh, to anybody that has negative comments about this bus...save it; biters and haters are just jealous. This is the lowest, custom bus to ever come out of California. |
| 03/05/03 | Brendan | How low can anyone go? Uh......that's it. That's Patrick's old Bus from spudtricio.com. It has a full airbag suspension, crazy front wheel tubs, narrowed beam, dropped spindles, straight axle kit, and the whole body was channeled over the floor. It is sitting on the ground in the pic. Can't go any lower unless you drop it in a ditch! |
