Here is a shot of an original zebra-striped African safari bus. Note the Australian-style cooling vents. This photograph was taken in the early 1970s at Bumi Hills in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe).

09/29/02 greg I'd say that it was a 1966/67 bus because of the vent layout, as the 1965 model had full length louvres that were more prone to bending damage
09/29/02 greg By the vent layout I'd say it was a 66/67 model as the 65 models had full length vents that were more prone to being bent.

I found this cool book. it has about two hundred dealership photos from texas, oklahoma, new mexico, colorado and wyoming. it has pics of pretty much every dealership in that area. I don't feel like scanning the whole book, but I can fill individual requests. if you know your dealerships name from that time period in that area, let me know and I will scan and post it for you.
