I couldn't bring myself to paint over the color code, which gave us a good "before and after" to compare the new paint against the original. The front wiring harness was replaced shorter after this shot.

The bus is up on blocks to give me access to the bottom while we ran the new wiring harness. It was much easier than I thought, but the hard part of switching to an 8-fuse block was still to come.

We were just starting the re-assembly in this shot. I had taped paper towels to the doors to protect the paint until the stoppers were in place.

what a cheery morning
this is in the morning after I slept in my 66 kombi after a friends wedding in Ft Collins CO. My friend is a master brewer--hence the reason I am surpriced I look this happy. Its the only wedding I've been to where people filled there beers for the ceremony.

It's a panel converted to a camper. not sure when or by who.. the bed/rearseat has a "Westfalia Campmobile 70" tag on it..

World's Largest VW Bus
Ok, so it's not really a VW bus, but I do bus around VW parts in it. I have a lot of 36hp parts and a some old bus parts (including a 1960 kombi). It's my birthday and I just bought myself a 1965 Greatful Dead stickered bus as a driver. Photos to follow. That is my 1986 dual cab syncro in the forgound. Sorry about including the Ford. The International's name is Bart.
